If you feel that this blog has been notable by its absence over the past few weeks, you would be correct. Like millions of other citizens I’ve been devoting my spare time to the study of aero-dynamics, momentum and fluid-dynamics – otherwise known as the Olympics.
Today, a copy of the Agency’s Bite magazine landed on my desk, and it adds a new dimension to the aim of going ‘higher, faster and further’, and that is ‘looking into the unknown’.
You will, I’m sure, be aware of the phrase about ‘known knowns’, ‘known unknowns’ and ‘unknown unknowns’.
Bite examines the crucial role food science can play in all three, from developing new approaches to well-known problems right through to blue skies thinking.
